It seems to me that Android One is the replacement to the Nexus phones in that it provides a pure Android experience (no vendor or carrier add-ons) and promised, faster, updates from Google. 

Consequently, the Moto X4 has become an appealing phone, if I can get it unlocked to work on AT&T. Android Central says the "full," non-Android One version of the Moto X will be sold in the U.S., but I am not sure that is the one I want.

Holy freakin' hot, it's 94 degrees outside!
